A bond shown in the arrest search is a starting point. Confirm the exact current amount, type and any additional hold before paying. Release processing can continue after the bond is accepted.
Record the booking number, charge, bond amount and facility.
The accepted bond follows the lawful monetary bail schedule or the applicable court order.
LCSO states that a cash bond, cash fine or cash purge requires the exact amount to be paid in full.
The Corrections Bureau does not accept personal checks, money orders, cashier’s checks, excessive loose coins or rolled coins for a cash bond, fine or purge.

Lee County Inmate Visitation Rules and Scheduling
All regular visits for inmates housed at the Downtown Jail, Core and Community Program Units are conducted by video. Visitors must be approved and scheduled through the visitation system.
An inmate may list up to five family members or friends. The inmate can update the list once every four months; adding or removing a person counts as an update.
Each inmate is allowed up to two video visits per week, with each session lasting one hour, subject to facility rules and availability.
Up to two approved visitors may attend a session. Children under one year do not count toward the two-person limit.
In-person video visits are conducted at 2501 Ortiz Avenue, Fort Myers, even when the inmate is housed at the Downtown Jail.
Visitors age 16 and older must show valid photo identification displaying a date of birth. Juveniles must remain with an adult.
